Addison Township Mental Health Board Announces New Round of Grant Applications

ADDISON, IL – During its January 15th monthly meeting, Chairman Don Puchalski and the Addison Township Mental Health Board finalized the timeline for the next grant application period. Applications will be accepted from February 15th to March 15th, 2025.

“This new round of grants represents the Board’s commitment to providing vital services and resources to Addison Township residents,” said Chairman Don Puchalski. “Following the success of our first application period, we look forward to strengthening relationships with previous applicants and encouraging other local service providers to apply.”

Addison Township Supervisor Dennis Reboletti emphasized the significance of this initiative: “This is a pivotal moment for Addison Township. By prioritizing investments in mental health resources, we are taking critical steps toward building a healthier and stronger community. I commend the Board for their dedication to addressing these vital issues.”

The approval of this new application period marks another significant milestone for the Addison Township Mental Health Board, with 100% of the allocated funds dedicated to services that directly benefit Addison Township residents.

Ahead of the January meeting, the Addison Township Mental Health Board hosted a check presentation ceremony to recognize several community-based organizations approved for funding during the 2024 grant cycle. These partnerships demonstrate the Board’s ongoing commitment to supporting local service providers.

About the Addison Township Mental Health Board

In 2022, Addison Township voters approved a referendum to establish the Addison Township Mental Health Board. The Board funds services addressing mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and substance abuse disorders for residents.

Appointed in February 2023, the seven-member Board consists of unpaid volunteers with government, mental health, and community representation expertise. Their mission is to raise awareness, eliminate stigma, and ensure accessible, high-quality care for all Addison Township residents.
